8 Day Positive Pledge

Everyone is invited to register for our 8th Annual Summer Experiment: the 8 Day Positive Pledge, which will be from August 4th- 11th. The Positive Pledge is eight days full of challenges, education, and encouragement. Each day comes with a new goal, starting out small and working in increments to help you reach your positivity goal. The Positive Pledge allows you to reflect on how you think and consciously decide to give yourself and others grace, while looking for positivity wherever you can.

A Focus on Fitness in the Workplace

Fitness and wellness in the workplace are about more than low cholesterol or being able to run a mile—in fact, they’re really not about that at all. Exercise promotes decreased feelings of stress or anxiety and allows us to reach a point where we can balance a focus on work and meaningful relaxation time with loved ones. The introduction of wellness practices to a corporate office is beneficial for everyone involved, fostering both individual and company growth and prosperity.

Kids and Fitness

Starting fitness and exercise early on in life lays a base of healthy practices and smart choices. Whether it be signing your kids up for sports at their school or a camp (or a 2C1S class!), encouraging them to get outside, or doing exercise together, the benefits are endless when it comes to kids being involved with fitness.

 

Wellness Event Takeaways

Laughter is the BEST abdominal workout—stir in your favorite music and it’s a recipe for movement and FUN! Miss Anna recently had the opportunity to teach a short and fun dance to a group of Microsoft research interns, showing them the basics of movement as well as the importance of warming up and stretching. Most of all though, she showed them just how fun exercise can be!

Plank Series Fundamentals

Planks are often a go-to workout move integrated into many classes, from Pilates and yoga to HIIT and strength training. Here, we will explore the many plank variations and specific aspects of body alignment to focus on, so you get the most out of your planks.
